7 Tips to Lose Weight Naturally and Quickly

Nowadays there are a lot of popular ways to lose weight. Some people prefer being on a diet; others do exercises every single day. Are there any other natural ways to deal with this problem? We’ve found some easy and useful ideas that will help you lose weight naturally.

TIMESTAMPS
Drink lemon water 0:32
Take apple cider vinegar 1:04
Drink green tea instead of a regular one 1:37
Exercise 2:12
Stick to a healthy diet 2:44
Drink more water 3:22
Get proper sleep 4:00

SUMMARY
– According to the nutritionists, lemon water is also one of the best recipes to lose weight. The thing is, lemons improve the work of gastroenteric tract and restore our mineral turnover.
– Apple cider vinegar contains essential elements that can have a beneficial effect on your nervous and digestive systems. They also stimulate metabolic processes and suppress appetite.
– Green tea has been used for centuries to facilitate and improve digestion as well as to stabilize blood sugar. It protects you against numerous diseases including cancer and diabetes.
– Exercise will lessen your stress level, raise your energy and make you stronger and tougher. Just set a particular regime and work out at least 15 minutes every day.
– Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables: they will help your body burn more calories and feel full longer. The most important thing is a balance: you can eat a piece of cake in the afternoon as long as you eat something healthier for dinner, for example, skinless chicken breasts, which are high in protein and low in fat.
– Drinking water is the ultimate recipe for good skin and maintaining the balance of body fluids. It is also one of the greatest weight loss strategies. Recent studies show that drinking plenty of water through the day helps you lose weight very fast.
– You won’t believe it, but it’s true – sleeping can help you lose weight. In fact, poor sleep is one of the key factors of weight gain. It also highly increases your appetite, making you crave for “midnight snacks.”

The entertainment business can be a cruel world sometimes. Hollywood has an expectation when it comes to appearances. Who do we blame for that? Big wig executives, or us as a society? If a woman is bigger than a size two, then she is ridiculed and called fat, ugly, and so on. If a man has anything but washboard abs and solid pecs, then he gets called names as well. Because we idolize skinny and built Hollywood celebrities, we reflect our own insecurities onto others. So, when you’re a celebrity who is bigger, it seems that you’re putting yourself in a spot to be ridiculed and mocked. Granted, these celebrities managed to create their own success from their size. Yet, eventually many overweight celebrities go on a journey to lose weight. The result? They end up looking completely different from what they were before. There’s lots of benefits to dropping weight, including better health…so these celebs are reaping all sorts of rewards!

Is the Mediterranean Diet the Healthiest Diet? | Eat Smarter | Dietitian Q&A

Is the Mediterranean Diet the Healthiest Diet? | Eat Smarter | Dietitian Q&A

The Mediterranean diet may be the healthiest diet in the world. Rather than a strict meal plan, it’s a way of eating that emphasizes enjoying whole foods and regular physical activity. Here, we give you a blueprint to follow the Mediterranean diet-whether you want to make small changes or overhaul your entire way of eating.

Q: What is the Mediterranean diet?
A: The Mediterranean diet is more of a healthy-eating lifestyle than a restrictive diet. It emphasizes a wide variety of fruits and vegetables as well regularly eating fish, nuts and other foods with healthy fats while limiting processed foods, red meats in excess and refined grains, like white bread. The Mediterranean diet also allows the intake of red wine.

Q: I’m trying the Mediterranean diet for the first time. Where do I start?
A: Starting off slowly with introducing some Mediterranean-based meals/snacks into your diet will be a great way to begin and easier to maintain. Think about substitutes also. Instead of using vegetable oil, use olive oil.

Q: Is the Mediterranean diet the healthiest?
A: The Mediterranean diet continues to prove itself as one of the healthiest ways to eat. In 2019, it was voted the best diet for the second year in a row by U.S News & World Report.

Q: Can you eat pizza on the Mediterranean diet?
A: Yes. Pizza is originated from Italy which is apart of the Mediterranean region. Just be consciously aware of how much cheese is being utilized.

Q: Is the Mediterranean diet better than Keto?
A: Keto is a low-to-no carb diet with a high fat intake, making your fat storage the main source of energy, which in result, losing fat faster. Keto is not sustainable, and many tend to backtrack once being on the diet for too long. The Mediterranean diet is full of healthy macros and micronutrients that our body needs…no need to cut out fruits, some veggies, and whole grains.

Q: How do I follow the Mediterranean diet while eating out?
A: Add veggies with your meals. Cut back on fried foods. Substitute Refined carbs with complex carbs. Minimize your use of condiments.

Q: Is the Mediterranean diet good for people with diabetes?
A: Yes. This lifestyle is great for everyone. The Mediterranean diet is a well-balanced macronutrient friendly diet.

Q: Can I do the Mediterranean diet if I don’t like fish?
A: Absolutely. Fish has some great health benefits, but the Mediterranean diet does not revolve around seafood.

Q: Is the Mediterranean diet good for kids too?
A: Kids should get the opportunity to enjoy all foods and not be restricted but introducing the Mediterranean diet into your kids’ lifestyle allows them to eat healthier and more balanced.

Q: What are the best Mediterranean snacks?
A: Carrots. Hummus. Greek yogurt. Dried fruits. Nuts/seeds. Fruit.

The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdf

This is the edited version of The Mathematics of Weight Loss presented by Ruben Meerman.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. Dr. Ricardo Castrellon, Director of South Miami Hospital’s Burn Center, explains as people start gaining weight, they are going to get larger fat deposits into the abdominal area and the area of the breasts in a male. A female will also have fat deposits in the extremities, including in the arms, resulting in very large arms and stretching the skin.

He points out with weight loss, the patient’s excess skin in the abdomen will pass below the waist line and the genitals.
